And Muse came from England which traces its roots back to the Anglo-Saxons and Romans, so really, in the end, Julius Caesar wrote 50 Shades of Grey.

Look, if you nicely tell me that swearing makes you uncomfortable and you politely ask me not to, I will stop immediately and speak nicer than a nun.

The audition said it all. He came in the room and by the time he left I said, ‘He made me raise my game. I want to work with him.’ He’s incredibly supportive and grounding, as he is as Watson. He’s a brilliant foil and we laugh a lot; a helluva lot, and we work very hard, and then we laugh very hard, and then we work hard and then we laugh hard. It’s genuinely good fun. I adore him. He’s somebody who’s got a very secure understanding of life. He’s a homebody and has a beautiful family and he’s just a very centered, very amusing, brilliant actor to play off.
